The structure of the master plan is to allow for a dialogue between the proposed built form and its context. This provides a proposal that creates visual connectivity that would reinforce the experience and amenity of the development.
Viewed from across the site the residential development would demonstrate legibility with regards to scale and context whilst when moving through the site the transition of a courser to a finer grain built form provides visual continuity and cohesion to the development.
The dwellings are positioned to address the existing streets to enforce street definition. One main street connecting Macpherson Street to Boondah Road was introduced into the site to provide opportunities for a strong street address and improve circulation. The secondary street network enables a street address to all the dwellings providing a safer environment with an increased level of passive surveillance.
