Darley Street
Neutral Bay
This project involved carefully considered additions and alterations to a heritage-listed Federation Queen Anne Style residence, along with the construction of a new secondary dwelling within the same property. Located within a distinguished group of Federation-era homes along Darley Street, the existing house holds significant historical value. The design approach prioritised the preservation of the building’s original character, ensuring that additions and modifications retain the heritage fabric and are seamlessly integrated with the existing form, while providing additional amenity to the residents.
The newly constructed secondary dwelling, while distinctly modern, has been thoughtfully designed to complement the visual character of the primary residence and its Federation context. Every aspect of the development was guided by a respect for the surrounding streetscape and the architectural significance of the area, achieving a harmonious balance between heritage conservation and contemporary living.
