City Walk Centre
The 1970s designed facade with solid horizontal spandrel panels and corner location provided a “blank canvas” to use light and colour to transform the position of the building within the building hierarchy of Canberra.
Bold and vibrant colours were applied in a hierarchical manner to emphasise the corner location. An animated overlay of vertical lines provides a rhythmical modulation to the façade that fragments the horizontal banding of the building. City Walk Centre is now a more attractive commercial building for the occupants as well as energising and lifting the precinct.
