Earlwood Residence
Set behind a generous garden landscape, the Earlwood Residence enjoys a quiet yet confident presence on the street. The garden acts as a gentle threshold between public and private, softening the transition from street to home and giving the residence a sense of privacy, calm and belonging within its neighbourhood.
The design is guided by a considered interplay of form and materiality. Contrasting volumes and textures shape the composition and articulation of the façade, creating depth, rhythm and shadow that shift with the changing light of the day. A soft, sweeping curve defines the entry, offering a welcoming and clearly legible arrival point that draws visitors in with ease.
Respect for the home’s original silhouette was central to the architectural approach. Rather than overwriting the existing character, the design refines it, softening its presence through stone, warm earth tones, brick and lush, layered planting.
